The 2026 exhibition will serve a rapidly expanding sector. The global industrial laundry machine market was valued at USD 2.95 billion in 2025 and is forecast to double to USD 6.12 billion by 2034 at a projected CAGR of 8.8%. Notably, the Asia Pacific region now commands over 44% of the global market share.[1]
China continues to drive this growth, as ongoing recovery in tourism and robust demand in the catering and accommodation sector have pushed hotel industry figures to new heights. By the end of 2024, China’s hotel industry reached 348,700 establishments and 17.64 million rooms, both surpassing previous peaks from 2018 – 2019, with a chain affiliation rate now at 46%.[2] Over the next five years, from 2026 – 2030, total industry revenue is projected to exceed RMB 1.2 trillion, while the total number of guest rooms is expected to surpass 22 million.[3]
Meanwhile, increasing public health standards and high-frequency cleaning requirements in the country’s 1.04 million primary medical and health institutions, which represent a 2.1% year-on-year increase, have driven a new wave of specialised equipment upgrades across the sector.[4] These trends, combined with ongoing demand for disinfection and decontamination, have led to further expansion and structural optimisation within China’s laundry and dyeing industry, with annual revenues rising by 5.8% year-on-year by the end of 2024.[5]
In response to the booming industrial laundry equipment market, sustained demand from the tourism, catering and accommodation sectors, and increasingly stringent industry regulations, TXCA & CLE 2026 will continue to spotlight efficiency-improving advancements in digital technology and automated equipment for washing, finishing, and related textile care processes. Additionally, the event is set to highlight a new generation of low-carbon, energy-saving solutions. Visitors will see the latest developments in monitoring technology, water management and energy recovery, further supporting the industry’s approach to sustainability.

As a result, the number of international supporting industry associations for the exhibition has increased to 22, covering 15 countries and regions across Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Oceania. Representing over 90% of laundry volume across Australia and New Zealand since 1979, the LAA will bring a delegation of around 20 industry professionals to the Shanghai event.
